About me

I was born and raised in the DC area, but grew up in NYC. That’s where I have spent the bulk of my life, especially my formative years. A graduate of the BA/BFA program at Parsons School of Design/Eugene Lang College, I’ve always believed that to communicate something, one must know something. And yet, the older I get, the more I realize that it’s the emotional connection that is most resonant and lasting. After graduating from university I spent a few years studying under the tutelage of David J. Passalacqua, a master illustrator, artist and teacher, who amongst other things taught that drawing is design, and that design is reasoning on paper.  Over my career I have designed for book publishers, advertising agencies, freelance clients and non-profits. Projects have ranged from social media share graphics, to full branding, copywriting, and illustrations for luxury housing.

Today I call myself a visual communicator. My media are graphic design on the laptop, the iPhone, the paintbrush, the pen and crayon. This is what makes me unique. I am an artist who chooses to illustrate and design. I am a professional who understands how to speak under different creative situations. I am both Digital and Analog.
